Our History
PurposeMade started when a few guys from Milwaukee, Wisconsin met and discovered a shared passion for designing, inventing, and making things, but also with a desire to meaningfully serve God in our lives and work. But as guys that had not been called to traditional ministry or missions work, we often struggled to see how our work, and the skills God gave us, we’re contributing to his Kingdom.
What we’ve come to appreciate is that, ALL things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28). God created man gave him the job of cultivating and caring for His creation. The first man obeyed, served, and brought glory to God by simply tending His garden. We believe in the same way, we can honor God through the work He’s called us to and with the skills he’s given us. So to combine these two passions we created PurposeMade.
Itʼs our hope that these products serve some small purpose — that they solve a simple problem, or that they make life a little more comfortable, or a little more beautiful, but that this acts as a reminder that we are all, purpose made. Thanks, and lots of love from the PurposeMade team.
Our Mission
At PurposeMade our mission is simply to make things for a higher purpose. We approach this in two ways:
Simply by serving God gladly with the skills he’s given us, and by responding to this call to cultivate and care for his world.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24
At PurposeMade this is central to what we do. We cultivate ideas into products to solve life’s little challenges and help cultivate the world around us into a better place. Every aspect of what we do, from designing to sweeping, is all done well and with one purpose, to glorify the living God. This is our approach to work and life, and we hope to inspire everyone we reach to see the same purpose in their life.
By caring for people, and sharing with them God’s love and the good news about his son, Jesus.

Although we haven’t been called to the ‘front lines’ of mission work we still see caring for those in need, and sharing the hope found in the gospel as a core part of our mission. At PurposeMade we use our work and our resources to love and care for the people of our hometown, Milwaukee, WI. We invest in projects that inspire restoration through creativity, and partner with non-profits and ministries that are mission aligned. 10% of all PurposeMade profits got to support work that brings redemptive change to Milwaukee.
